Winfred Blakley of Batesville died November 26, 2003, in a local hospital. Born March 24, 1942 in Little Rock, he was 61.

He was the son of John C. and Maydell Harden Blakley.

He was a retired manager of J.C. Penney's in Springfield, Mo. and a member of the Sand Springs Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John Blakley and Don Blakley.

He is survived by a son, Chad Blakley of Springfield, Mo.; two daughters, Heather Blakley and Robin Harville, both of Missouri; one brother, J.C. Blakley of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister, Della May Wright of Fordyce and two grandchildren.

Funerals services will be held December 3 at 1 p.m. at the Sand Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Quitman with M.J. Blakley and Jim Atkinson officiating. Interment will follow in Sand Springs Cemetery.
