Juanita L. Shipman, age 79, of Mena, Ark., passed away Friday, December 17, 2021.

Juanita was a beautiful Christian soul who loved the Lord. She attended Bethel Baptist Church where she was honored to be the pastor's wife. She enjoyed singing in the choir and teaching Sunday School to share the message of salvation. She had a giving spirit and generous heart.

Juanita made many cherished, lasting friendships while working at Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She retired after almost 30 years.

Juanita is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, George Shipman; son Jeff Vaughn and his wife Patty; daughter Janice Vaughn-Sanchez and her husband Daniel; brothers John and Robert Jacobsen; sister Marion Knight; grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Arkansas Baptist Children's Home in her memory at arkansasfamilies.org.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home.
