After years of declining health, Jeanne Davis Ashmore passed away December 23, 2019 at age 77. Born in Houston, Texas and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, she was the first of three daughters born to the late Thomas Whittington and Julia Watts Crockett. She was a graduate of Little Rock’s Central High School and earned a Commercial Art Degree from Richmond Professional Institute in Richmond, Virginia. She worked as a receptionist for Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia and Tom Crockett Irrigation in Williamston. She spent the last 50 years of her life living, loving, and working in Williamston, North Carolina. Her cheerful personality and love of all animals, especially cats, will be remembered by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at the Church of the Advent in Williamston, NC at 2:00 pm on Thursday January 2, 2020.
